1. Who operates Labor Together
Labor Together is operated by Luna.Tech, located in Winona Lake, Indiana, United States. Questions may be sent to support@luna.tech.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication-provider identifier, and profile information needed to sign in.
- Household information: household name, invite and membership records, member roles, and account relationships.
- Labor and preparation information: contraction start and end times, durations, intervals, corrections, review status, labor updates, labor-change observations, notes, provider and hospital phone numbers, provider instructions, preparation tasks, and session history.
- Device and notification information: device label, a locally generated device identifier, app version, Home Screen status, notification permission, push-subscription data, last-seen and last-sync times, and pending-operation counts.
- Reliability information: delivery logs, limited client error messages, diagnostic context, and service timestamps used to maintain the app.
3. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, connect household members, synchronize timing, deliver notifications, save and display labor history, provide recovery and correction features, respond to support requests, protect accounts, detect failures, and improve reliability.
4. Sensitive information
Labor timing, provider instructions, and related notes may reveal health-related information. Labor Together treats this information as sensitive and uses it only to provide the app and related support. Labor Together is not a healthcare provider and is not represented as a HIPAA-covered medical record system.
5. Service providers
We use vendors to host and operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, database, real-time synchronization, and server functions; Vercel for web hosting and delivery; Stripe for payment processing; authentication providers selected by the user, such as Google; and, when advertising is enabled on the free plan, an advertising provider such as Google AdSense. These providers process information under their own contractual and privacy obligations.
6. Advertising and sensitive information
The free family plan and Professional Free dashboard may display third-party advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use contraction history, provider instructions, notes, professional-sharing data, client labor details, or other sensitive labor information to target advertising. We do not share labor information with advertisers or data brokers. Advertising providers may process limited browser, device, consent, or ad-delivery information as permitted by law and their policies. Families may purchase Ad-Free or Professional + Ad-Free access to remove family-plan advertising, and professionals may purchase Professional Ad-Free for $4.99 once to remove professional-dashboard advertising.
7. How information is shared
Information is visible to the authenticated members of the same Labor Together household. A household may explicitly connect a doula or midwife professional account; while connected, that professional receives only the labor timing, labor-change observations, and event categories the household chooses to share, and the household can change permissions or revoke the connection. Information may also be disclosed to service providers, when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not make household data public.
8. Retention
Account, household, settings, and labor history are generally retained until deletion is requested or the service is discontinued. Limited client-error records are ordinarily removed after approximately 30 days. Some security, notification, or operational records may be retained for a reasonable period to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Security
We use authenticated access, household-level authorization, encrypted network connections, restricted server functions, and managed hosting safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials and private invite codes.
10. Children
Labor Together is intended for adults managing their own labor and support relationship. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Your choices
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information. You may disable notifications through the app or device settings. Visit Privacy Choices or Delete Account for instructions.
12. International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Applicable safeguards depend on the user’s location and the provider involved.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the app, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated date will be shown at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email when appropriate.
