Frequently asked questions

What does Labor Together cost?

Labor Together is free with ads and includes the full family labor experience. A one-time $4.99 Ad-Free upgrade removes ads for this pregnancy household. A one-time $9.99 Professional + Ad-Free upgrade connects a doula or midwife, unlocks family-controlled professional sharing and supported professional alerts, and removes ads too.

Do doulas and midwives have to pay?

No. A doula or midwife can create a professional profile and participate with invited families for free. The Professional Free dashboard is supported by ads; a one-time $4.99 Professional Ad-Free purchase removes those ads. A family separately purchases the $9.99 Professional + Ad-Free family upgrade if it wants to connect a professional, and the family controls what that professional can see.

How do ads work?

The free family plan and Professional Free dashboard are supported by advertising. Labor Together does not use contraction history, provider instructions, notes, professional-sharing data, client labor details, or other sensitive labor information to target ads. Family Ad-Free and Professional + Ad-Free households do not see family-plan advertising, and professionals who buy Professional Ad-Free for $4.99 once do not see professional-dashboard advertising.

Does the app need to stay open?

No. Shared data syncs when the app is open, and supported Home Screen installations can receive push notifications in the background. A currently running timer remains represented by the server-authoritative timer.

Why should I add it to the iPhone Home Screen?

On iPhone, Home Screen installation provides the app-like experience and is required for web push notifications. Open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Can another couple use the same website?

Yes. They should create their own household with their own accounts and invite code. Household access controls keep their labor information separate from yours.

What should I do if timing looks wrong?

Use the correction tools to edit or delete a contraction. Records that were automatically ended or estimated can be reviewed and confirmed.

What are labor-change observations?

They are quick, non-diagnostic notes about observable changes such as becoming more inward or vocal, increased pressure, shaking, nausea, support needs, resting, activity changes, or arriving at the birth location. They help build context in the timeline but do not determine a labor stage.

Can the support partner end a timer?

Yes. When the person in labor forgets to stop an active timer, the connected support partner can end it and the record will show who ended it.

Is Labor Together medical advice?

No. It is a timing and communication aid. Follow your maternity provider’s instructions and use direct emergency communication when needed.
